As pictures will try to capture this car’s straight-as-an arrow panels, SMOOTH contours and CRISP lines! Panel gaps line up PERFECTLY and the CODE CORRECT paint laid out over this laser straight body is SHOW quality! This Chevelle’s vibrant, rich Fathom Blue is incredible at any angle you want to take it in! The clear that was laid out adds a TON of depth and the reflection is mirror quality in this LS-6. I have NEVER seen a paint job look this good in my LIFE! This meticulous nut and bolt rotisserie restoration is exactly what everybody wishes their restoration would look like! Panels are ALL original metal right down to the hood.
In addition to being numbers matching and retaining original panels the glass is all clear, tinted, and NEW – GM post dated 1970 - and easy to see throughout. The ORIGINAL bumpers were re-chromed and reflect like a mirror, plus the grill is new old stock. The bottom of this car looks just as clean as the the top, with tags in tact EVERYWHERE they are supposed to be straight from the GM factory! The pans are all solid as pictures will show! The frame has been media blasted, color-correct powder coated. This car represents a TRUE rotisserie with NO expense spared in ANY way right down to correct primer! The fit and finish on this vehicle is second to none and there are not enough adjectives in the English dictionary to fully describe this car! Well OVER $100k was invested into this SPOT ON build.
Interior is show quality, boasting a set of hand-worked ORIGINAL seats. Carpet is ALL new and free of stains. Gauges are ALL clear and easy to read, plus we also have a set of deluxe gauges if you would like (the builder just couldnt put them in since the car was not ordered that way). The dash is perfect and the door panels have been reworked just as Chevy intended as well! Everything in this interior is perfect - right down to the AM/FM stereo radio with the four speaker factory system! To top it all off, the builder sourced a set of radial oval tires that make this car drive like a dream!
Inside and out this car is a show stopper!
As you pop the hood, you immediately notice that between the fenders rests the original GM 454 LS-6, completely rebuilt with only 100 miles on it. This engine is paired to a NUMBERS MATCHING 400 transmission that shifts smooth as butter! In the rear, you will find a 12 bolt diff that is code correct 3:31 gear as well! This car starts with the turn of a key - first time every time. It runs extremely well and drives like NO OTHER! The custom exhaust has an incredible note that is VERY unique and comes from a set of headers with jet-hot coating (if you would like, we have a set of manifolds that will look right at home and be CLOSE to date correct as well)! It sounds GREAT at idle and only gets better as you get into the gas! At the end of the exhaust you will find ORGINAL, CORRECT Hangers with the factory chrome tips! Everything on this car works as it should right down to the door buzzer! This Chevelle is equipped to stop with a set of disc brakes up front and the whole brake assembly is just as GM intended it to be, resting on a set of original Super Sport wheels that are unlike the reproductions that have steel inserts with aluminum lips.
Full documentation plus an eye-popping color combination and precision restoration do justice to the glory of GM’s legend…the 1970 LS-6! With about 100 miles on this fresh build, this 70 is looking for a new owner who wants to outshine the rest, but serious offers only, please. People who know cars will understand the true value of this car’s documentation and collector appeal.
