As pictures will try to capture this K-5 has straight-as-an arrow panels, SMOOTH contours and CRISP lines! Panel gaps line up PERFECTLY and the paint laid out over this laser straight body is SHOW quality! This 71s vibrant, rich Huger Orange is incredible at any angle you want to take it in! The clear that was laid out adds a TON of depth and the reflection is mirror quality in this Blazer. I have NEVER seen a paint job look this good in my LIFE! This meticulous nut and bolt rotisserie restoration is exactly what everybody wishes their restoration would look like! Panels are ALL NEW OEM new old stock metal right down to the hood.
NICEST IN THE NATION!
The glass is all clear, tinted, NEW GM post dated and easy to see throughout. The ORIGINAL bumpers were re-chromed and reflect like a mirror, plus the grill is new old stock. The bottom of this car K-5 looks straight from the GM factory! The pans are all solid as pictures will show! The frame has been media blasted and powder coated. This car represents a TRUE rotisserie with NO expense spared in ANY way right down to EVERY BOLT! The fit and finish on this vehicle is second to none and there are not enough adjectives in the English dictionary to fully describe this car! Well OVER $100k was invested into this SPOT ON build.
Interior is show quality as well, boasting a set of hand-worked ORIGINAL seats. Carpet is ALL new and free of stains. Gauges are ALL clear, NEW and easy to read, plus the dash is perfect and the door panels have been reworked just as Chevy intended also! Everything in this interior is perfect - right down to the AM/FM stereo radio with the four speaker factory system! To top it all off, the builder added a set of MEATY NITTO tires and custom wheels that make this 71 look mean!
Inside and out this is a show stopper!
As you pop the hood, you immediately notice that between the fenders rests a blue printed 383 with aluminum heads, durashine performer intake, billit pully system, power steering and power brakes!! The becool radiator and dual fans keep it nice and cool even on hot days.This Blazer starts with a pump and the turn of a key - first time every time. It runs extremely well and drives like NO OTHER! The custom exhaust has an incredible note that is VERY unique! It sounds GREAT at idle and only gets better as you get into the gas!
The 350 trans is built and shifts well. It pulls HARD though every gear!! Everything on this 71 works as it should! This K-5 is equipped to stop with a set of disc brakes up front and the whole brake assembly is just as GM intended it to be with a NEW booster.
The only thing reused on this restoration is the striker plates and door catches! An eye-popping color combination and precision restoration do justice to the glory of GM’s legend! With about 100 miles on this fresh build, this 71 is looking for a new owner who wants to outshine the rest, but serious offers only, please. People who know K-5s will understand the true value of its restoration and collector appeal.
